Tell us about your role within MCS
As a senior recruiter in MCS, my role is to assist sales candidates of all levels with securing their next career. There is a variety of activities that go into this, whether it’s on the client side, with business development, job orders, and client visits, or on the candidate side with outbound calls, event outreach, registrations, and interview preparation. There are also internal roles, including organising team events and taking part in companywide initiatives throughout the year.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being a sales recruiter, naturally, I enjoy the candidates and clients I work with. There’s never a dull moment! One is the best things about being a recruiter is the opportunity every day to meet a variety of people from a variety of backgrounds, whether that’s global CEOs or sales managers. There’s never a dull moment, and I experience lots of different stories and personalities, giving me a glimpse into all walks of life. In that, also comes the opportunity to bring people together. As a recruiter, there’s nothing more satisfying than matching the perfect candidate to a client!
What’s your soundtrack song to get you up in the
morning?
Tom Santa - Rainfall
What is one skill that helps you most in your role?
Resilience. Recruitment has its highs, but it also has its lows. Resilience to see through it is key!
What is the most valuable piece of advice you have
been given?
Keep doing the basics, and the rest will follow
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
My recent senior promotion. It takes a long period of
consistency to achieve this, so there’s no quick win, which is definitely
something I’m proud of from last year.
