Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Remote)

MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a scaling software company that is hiring a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their fully remote engineering team. The business builds a modern, high-usage platform used by organisations globally and is continuing to invest heavily in product development.

(Fully Remote within EU)

What you'll be doing...

• Working closely with product and engineering teams to design and build new features
• Maintaining and improving existing applications
• Writing and running automated tests as part of CI workflows
• Supporting releases and testing in staging environments

What you'll need...

• 5+ years commercial Ruby on Rails experience
• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals
• Good SQL knowledge and confidence working in Linux environments
• Comfortable working across the full stack with minimal support
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Experience writing and maintaining tests

Nice to have...

• Experience with cloud platforms
• Exposure to DevOps tools or environments
• Familiarity with modern Rails tooling (e.g. Hotwire or similar)
• Any experience with modern JavaScript frameworks

• Fully remote role (EEA-based candidates only)
• Core working hours aligned to GMT
• Salary up to €70,000
