Are you a skilled procurement specialist ready to take ownership of a fast-paced public sector procurement function? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, established organisation as a Procurement Officer.

We are recruiting on behalf of a sizeable team to appoint a Procurement Officer who will play an important role in strengthening the organisation's procurement function, delivering expert guidance and ensuring all procurement activity is compliant, effective, and achieves value for money.

The role:

* Deliver professional procurement services, providing specialist advice and support across a broad range of contracts, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and recognised best practice.
* Organise, oversee, and complete procurement processes including quotations, tenders, contract awards, supplier oversight, and post-contract reviews, while keeping accurate contract registers and documentation.
* Advise and support managers and staff on procurement approaches, specifications, tender assessments, and value-for-money initiatives, including cost efficiencies and service enhancements.
* Produce clear and comprehensive reports on procurement activity for both internal and external stakeholders, and address complaints, enquiries, or legal matters where necessary.
* Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies, digital procurement solutions, and IT systems, promoting sustainability, equality, ethical practices, and compliance with UK and EU procurement regulations.
* Contribute to team development and carry out other responsibilities within grade, including asset disposal and attendance at relevant meetings.

The Person

As the successful candidate, you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:
* A relevant qualification and proven experience working within a procurement role.
* Experience providing procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders at varying levels within an organisation.
